Posted 07 February 2024 — Anyone
Hi all,
You may have already seen that PCS has suspended their planned strike action for 8, 9,10 and 11 February.
On 6 February 2024, the Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) announced the suspension the planned industrial action in February 2024
DVSA has made an offer to PCS that addresses the 8 concerns raised by their members. These include members’ safety, terms and conditions and the standards of safety that driving tests require.
PCS will now fully consult its members on the latest offer made by DVSA through a consultative ballot.

DVSA Chief Executive Loveday Ryder said:
“DVSA colleagues do an outstanding job in helping to keep our roads safe and are working to bring waiting times down.
“We are pleased the talks with PCS union have been successful, and the planned industrial action on 8-11 February will not go ahead.
“I am grateful to the DVSA and PCS negotiating teams for the productive discussions and their commitment to resolving the issues.
“Driving test candidates with tests booked between 8 – 11 February should attend their test as planned”.
