Posted 02 September 2024 — Anyone
You may have already received this DVSA survey, however, don’t miss out on having your views heard by DVSA, just click on START below, you can do a few questions and save until later if you are short of time.
DVSA run their national survey to find out what it’s like working as an approved driving instructor (ADI) in Great Britain.
Last year, 5,795 ADIs shared their experiences. DVSA hope that even more of you will this year.
They usually carry out this survey in June, but it was rescheduled to start on Sunday 1 September 2024 this year due to the recent general election.
What's in the survey
The survey includes questions to help DVSA and ADI associations to understand more about:
- your business - including things like lesson prices and the type of car you teach in
- managing your business – including things like how many pupils you’re teaching and any challenges you’re facing
- your work - including things like how satisfying you find the job
- your skills and the resources available to you - including things like the support you get from DVSA
- your continuing professional development
- your health and wellbeing
The survey does not ask for your name or ADI number. It’s anonymous and individual responses will not be shared or published.
How to take part
The survey takes 10 to 20 minutes to fill in. It closes at 11:59pm on 30 September 2024.
By filling in the survey, you’ll be helping to give us the fullest picture of the driving instructor profession in Great Britain’s history.
What happens next
They’ll publish a summary of the survey results on GOV.UK and send you a link to view them later in the summer. They'll use the information you tell them to help them plan
and improve their services for ADIs and learner drivers.
