Generate Drivers Licence Check Code
When starting driving lessons, usually your instructor will ask you to provide them with a Driving Licence Check Code. This is done via the DVSA website, and it's really easy to do. Once generated, the code will be valid for 21 days.
The DVSA Service can be used for:
- view your driving record, for example vehicles you can drive
- check your penalty points or disqualifications
- create a licence ‘check code’ to share your driving record with someone, for example a car hire company
To generate the driving licence code, you will need to provide the following:
- your driving licence number
- your National Insurance number
- the postcode on your driving licence
