We are thrilled to announce that Vicky Folland, founder of Vicky's Driving Tuition, has been honored with the title of Eco Instructor of the Year 2025.
Based in Hartlepool, Vicky is a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) with nearly two decades of experience. She offers both manual lessons in a VW Up! and automatic tuition in a fully electric VW ID.3, reflecting her commitment to eco-friendly driving practices. Her dedication to sustainable driving instruction has set her apart as a leader in the industry.
Vicky's expertise extends beyond traditional driving instruction. As a Fleet Associate with RoSPA, she has taken her road safety knowledge to an international level, most recently traveling to Malaysia to promote safer driving practices. Her involvement in global road safety initiatives showcases her passion for making a real impact both locally and worldwide.
Additionally, she has been featured on BBC One's "Scarlett's Driving School," sharing her expertise with a national audience. Vicky also co-hosts the "Car School Confessions" podcast, offering insights and discussions that support fellow instructors in their professional journeys.
Her commitment to student well-being is evident through her certifications as a test nerves specialist, safeguarding trainer, qualified mentor, and mental health first aider, ensuring comprehensive support for her learners.

I’m super lucky to have been shortlisted again and I’m absolutely blown away to have won this category for the second time. As an industry we are have a huge carbon footprint and if we all make little changes together we can reduce this. Winning an amazing award like this helps to spread awareness and opens the door for conversations to help get this message across.
