For this award we looked long and hard at the cars used by instructors across the entire industry and and our findings reflective the public vote. The winner being the Ford Fiesta for two years in a row.
A new interior in the latest models has helped the Ford Fiesta catch up with rivals when it comes to quality, with plenty of storage areas throughout the cabin. Instructors keep using this car for a reason and it's a great option for first time buyers too.
The 99bhp 1.0 EcoBoost engine is clearly more economical which is something Gen-Z care about more and more.
Peugeot 208 is our solid runner up. You can always rely on a French car maker to build a stylish small hatchback. What else is that the current model doesn’t just stack up well against those mainstream rivals like Mini or Audi A1. The more expensive versions in the 208 is a great alternative for those who are not overly bothered about a premium price point.
