The award for Community of the Year goes to the outstanding and noble ARG Support for Driving Instructors created by Kev Brock.
A huge congratulations to them, the admins and everyone that shares the much needed updates
The past two years have been explicitly difficult for ADIs across the UK and of course and thankfully National Governments and Local Governments have tried to support here and there to varying degrees of success. The ARG Facebook group has been a massive success in genuinely supporting ADIs help access additional funding. This group has made lives better and that's why it received an overwhelming percentage of the vote share and why we are so pleased that it has come away as the winner for the Community of the Year award.
We spoke to Founder, Kev Brock, about their win and he told us this:
The team behind the ARG Support for Driving Instructors group are delighted to have won the award for Community of the Year in the GoRoadie Awards.
The group, which aimed to support driving instructors in accessing grant funding to keep their businesses afloat during the Coronavirus pandemic, has demonstrated the collective, and community spirit, across the country IS proof that “Together we are Stronger”.
Many instructors were able to access this funding yet sadly this wasn’t always the case and, as a group, we will continue to support instructors through this time and make representations at the highest level.
I’d like to thank Michael from GoRoadie for this opportunity, as well as those who felt we were deserving of their vote amongst what was stiff competition from other deserving groups.
