The award for Community of the Year goes to the outstanding and noble The DITC created by Chris Bensted and Ian Brett.
A huge congratulations to the team behind The Collective for all the hard work they put in being the industries "Sign Posting" service. It's very clear how much passion, love, sweat and tears Chris and Ian put into the service - and that is why it was voted by over 100s of ADIs as the Community of the Year, 2022.
The DITC put in a lot of effort for new ADIs, PDIs and even those well experienced in the industry - keeping everyone in the loop and up to date with the latest news and information. Additionally, they have been a great support to the industry during the pandemic, but you can also see them as, Money Saving Expert, but for ADIs. There are literally £100s worth of discounts with the service - even the NUS Student Cards which can save so much money each month.
Chris and Ian told us:
The Driving Instructor and Trainers Collective are excited to have been awarded the GoRoadie Community of the Year 2022. We appreciate being recognised as a support to ADIs and PDIs in need of help, information and solutions.
To be honest, while we supported hundreds of instructors and made many lives better for it we were disappointed by our performance in 2022. It felt like a fruitless year with little response or movement from the DVSA and improvement to the challenges we face as an industry post-COVID.
This award has given us the opportunity to reflect on the positives which will drive us forward to achieve more in 2023, these include:
We look forward to securing our place as the go-to information provider for the Driver Trainer sector, and thanks to GoRoadie for their continued support and recognition.
