The Best Nightlife in Aberdeen
The best places to go to experience Aberdeen in the evenings, whether you're a student out with your besties or taking out your date for the night.
Bars and Clubs
BrewDog
17 Gallowgate, AberdeenThe original BrewDog bar. Opened in 2010 and now with around 80 bars worldwide, this is the bar that started it all. Being their first bar, it's a bit on the modest side, so it can get a bit squishy when busy, but they still pack in a great beer selection with decent pizza's for food – unless you think eatin' is cheatin'.
BrewDog was founded in nearby Fraserburgh, just an hours drive north of the city.
Krakatoa
2 Trinity Quay, AberdeenA dive bar with great cocktails, live music, quality facilities and plenty of student discounts throughout the week make this a popular choice.
They have a great zero tolerance policy on douchebags too.
Grape & Grain
31 Thistle Street, AberdeenA wine bar in Aberdeen's west end, this award-winning venue is classy with the cutest entrance – just google some pictures! They serve food and have a great wine and gin collection. They even host tastings.
Did we mention it has a piano? Told you. Classy.
The Globe Inn
13-15 North Silver Street, AberdeenA traditional pub AKA old man's pub, the Globe actually has fantastic food on offer with a decent drinks selection. They also have big screen TVs showing sport throughout the year.
Grosvenor Casino
5 Exchequer Row, AberdeenIt is somewhat a right of passage to end up in the casino after a big night out — though to confess, this is something I've not experienced — but the Grosvenor is more than a casino, offering a great restaurant, bar and live sports bar.
If you're going to gamble, maybe make sure it's earlier in the night and only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Find out more about this at BeGambleAware.
ATIK
5 Bridge Place, AberdeenPossible the best nightclub in Aberdeen, ATIK has regular events and can be rented out for parties. This stylish venue has something special on 2 or 3 days a week, including hosting some big names like The Beast from ITV's cult hit show, The Chase, the beautiful Joey Essex and Fatman Scoop.
Do you remember Fatman Scoop?
Siberia Bar and Hotel
9 Belmont Street, AberdeenSiberia is a great vodka bar that also happens to be a lovely hotel.
This place is award-winning and proudly independent with a 25 year history. The modern aesthetic suffers for a not to sexy exterior, but the interior more than makes up for it with sleek lines and plenty of lighting.
Cadona's Amusement Park
Beach Boulevard, AberdeenCadona's has pretty much everything you could possibly need for a fun time. High recommended for dates too!
It's got mini-golf, bowling, restaurants, bars, arcades, dodgems and during the summer months an outdoor theme park.
How about a game of laser tag with your beau? Maybe not if either of you are super competitive!
They also boast the largest selection of video games in Scotland, complete with brand-new VR experiences.
Don't forget parking!! As with nights out, its good to have a good place to park your car. We have complied a list of the best parking spots in Aberdeen to help you in finding a suitable place to park whilst in the city.
